RSE has developed a mobile cogeneration unit based on an MWM gas engine with a capacity of 4.5 MW. A solution for flexible energy supply to critical infrastructure and industrial enterprises.

The company RSE has announced the completion of the development of a mobile cogeneration unit based on a large-capacity gas engine manufactured by MWM. This module combines a high level of performance — 4.5 MW — with a compact design that allows for quick transportation of equipment and its commissioning even in difficult conditions.
This solution was created as a response to the urgent challenges of the Ukrainian market — the need for flexible, decentralized energy sources that can provide power to critical infrastructure facilities, industrial enterprises, and municipalities. Installations of this class are capable of quickly replacing or compensating for destroyed thermal power plants, strengthening regional energy systems, and contributing to network stability.
The project became possible thanks to a strategic partnership between RSE and the German company MWM — one of the world's leading manufacturers of gas piston engines. The cooperation agreement was concluded during the Rebuild Ukraine exhibition in Warsaw, after which RSE received the status of Channel Partner 2024 — official confirmation of the high level of engineering and service.
RSE's customers in Ukraine include large enterprises in the agricultural sector, the food industry, pharmaceutical companies, production facilities, as well as independent energy suppliers that generate electricity and supply it to the grid.
In 2024, the total installed capacity of the company's implemented projects amounted to more than 200 MW. These are dozens of cogeneration plants in a modular design that ensure the stable operation of enterprises and institutions in various regions of Ukraine. The company also develops and manufactures waste heat boilers that allow the reuse of heat from exhaust gases and significantly increase the overall efficiency of systems.
We are building an energy system that will not break even under the pressure of external threats. And mobile cogeneration solutions are not just generation, but the flexibility and reliability that everyone needs: business, communities, and the state
The company is expanding its international presence — in addition to Ukraine, it is implementing energy projects in European countries. An extensive network of partners and suppliers allows us to scale and adapt solutions depending on the needs of the region of presence.
As a reminder, the National Action Plan for the Development of Renewable Energy until 2030, approved by the government, envisages achieving a 27% share of renewable sources in final consumption. Decentralization plays an important role in this process — flexible, local generation sources that can be quickly scaled.
