President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy thanked the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine for the spectacular replenishment of the Russian Black Sea submarine fleet with another vessel, after the attack on the Russian large landing ship Novocherkassk, UNN reports.

I am grateful to our Air Force for the spectacular replenishment of the Russian Black Sea submarine fleet with another vessel. There will be no peaceful place for the occupiers in Ukraine
- Zelensky wrote on social media.

According to the Ukrainian Armed Forces, on December 26, tactical aviation of the Air Force attacked a large landing ship of the Russian Black Sea Fleet "Novocherkassk" near Feodosia with cruise missiles. Later, the Russian Defense Ministry confirmed the damage to the ship in Feodosia.

Gumenyuk statedthat the large detonation at Novocherkassk indicates that there could have been a "Christmas gift" from Russia to Ukraine.
