In 2025, Petro Poroshenko declared over UAH 52.5 million in income from the Ministry of Finance of Hungary, and also transferred about UAH 15 million to Hungary through the purchase of government bonds. This is evidenced by the data of the annual declaration, published in the NACP register.

According to the declaration, Petro Poroshenko received UAH 51.8 million from the Ministry of Finance of Hungary in the form of bond redemption, as well as UAH 720,904 in interest. The total amount of receipts from Hungary is UAH 52.538 million.

In addition, the MP's declaration states that on November 5, 2025, Poroshenko transferred about UAH 14.5 million from Ukraine through the purchase of Hungarian government bonds.

As reported, Petro Poroshenko has a long-standing cooperation with the government of pro-Russian Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orbán. Before the last attempt to meet with Orbán in Hungary, Poroshenko received over UAH 37 million from the Hungarian Ministry of Finance. At that time, experts expressed the opinion that Poroshenko, during his meeting with Orbán, intended to use him to send a signal to Russia and other interested parties about his readiness to lead a campaign to "force Ukraine to peace."

Recently, an international scandal erupted around Orbán's government. It turned out that Hungarian officials not only "leaked" all the internal political workings of the EU to Moscow, but also coordinated their actions with the Russians to block Ukraine's European integration efforts. In particular, Russian Foreign Minister Lavrov instructed the head of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Orbán's government, Szijjártó, on how to block Ukraine's EU membership.
