Oleksandr Usyk met with Donald Trump in the Oval Office of the White House. The athlete may attend the president's anniversary and a UFC tournament on Sunday.

Ukrainian world heavyweight boxing champion Oleksandr Usyk met with US President Donald Trump in the Oval Office of the White House on Friday. A photo of the meeting between the athlete and the politician was published on the X social network by Trump's communications assistant Margo Martin, UNN reports.

"President Donald Trump in the Oval Office with world heavyweight champion Oleksandr Usyk," Martin wrote, without providing other details of the meeting.
Media outlets suggest that Usyk will likely be an invited guest on Sunday at Trump's 80th birthday celebration. In honor of this, as well as the 250th anniversary of US independence, a UFC tournament will be held on the White House lawn.

The day before, the Ukrainian world heavyweight boxing champion according to WBA, WBC, and IBF versions, Oleksandr Usyk, visited the Pentagon.
In April 2025, Oleksandr Usyk appealed to Donald Trump with a request to stop the war in Ukraine. He called Ukraine's surrender of territories for the sake of peace unacceptable.
Soon after, Usyk addressed Donald Trump, calling on him to see the war in Ukraine with his own eyes. He suggested that he come to Kyiv and live for a week under shelling.
