Ukrainian boxer Oleksandr Usyk, following his victory over Rico Verhoeven in Egypt, stated that during the fight, his family was in a shelter due to a Russian attack on Ukraine. The athlete said this from the ring in Giza immediately after the match concluded, UNN reports.

The Ukrainian's speech took place immediately after his 11th-round stoppage victory over the Dutchman Rico Verhoeven. Usyk's words were met with applause from the spectators at the arena in Egypt.
