According to the information, on the evening of August 24, 2018, the man met a sixteen-year-old girl, a resident of Subottsi village, and decided to rape her. Because the schoolgirl began to resist, the man killed her, took the body out of the settlement, and then buried it on the territory of agricultural land.
The victim's body was found on March 26, 2019, during spring field work.
Despite the fact that the man completely denied his guilt in court and stated that he was not at the crime scene and the evidence against him was fabricated, he was sentenced to life imprisonment, which corresponds to the prosecutor's position in the court session.

16-year-old Diana Khrinenko, a resident of Subottsi, went to the village center for Independence Day celebrations around nine in the evening on August 24, 2018, and did not return.
In March, in Znamianka district of Kirovohrad Oblast, fragments of clothing of the missing 17-year-old Diana Khrinenko and a human skeleton were found. The human skeleton was found 12 km from the village where Diana lived.
