Most Ukrainians support a 30-day ceasefire, but reject concessions to Russia - survey
Kyiv • UNN
Most Ukrainians support a 30-day ceasefire to show Russia's unwillingness for peace. At the same time, Ukrainians are strongly against any concessions to the aggressor.

77% of Ukrainians have a positive attitude to the idea of a 30-day truce, but at the same time are strongly against any demands from Russia. This is evidenced by the results of a survey by the Kyiv International Institute of Sociology (KIIS), writes UNN.
Details
The survey showed that the vast majority of Ukrainians – 77% – have a positive attitude to a 30-day truce.
Most often, respondents (47% of 77%) said that this is a way to show that Russia does not want peace or that Russia violates agreements. In addition, 12% talk about a way to unblock military aid. The remaining 18% call it primarily a step towards ending the war on terms acceptable to Ukraine. That is, the perception of the proposal is positive, but few believe that this is a real start to the path to peace on acceptable terms.
However, 17% of respondents expressed a negative attitude to the initiative. Of these, 8% consider it a wrong decision that could weaken Ukraine, 7% perceive it as a step of despair, and 2% called it the beginning of capitulation.
Addition
The survey was conducted from March 12 to March 22, 2025. 1326 respondents aged 18 years and older were interviewed by telephone.
The sample did not include residents of territories temporarily not controlled by the Ukrainian authorities, and the survey was not conducted with citizens who left the country after February 24, 2022
The statistical error of the sample did not exceed 3.5% for indicators close to 50%, 3.1% for indicators close to 25%, 2.1% for indicators close to 10%, 1.6% for indicators close to 5%.
Let us remind you
The results of a sociological survey by the Razumkov Center showed that only 8% of Ukrainians would agree to the complete withdrawal of Ukrainian troops from the Donetsk, Luhansk, Kherson and Zaporizhzhia regions. 78% do not agree to such conditions.
