The French President spoke with his American counterpart "on the eve" of the summit of allied countries of Ukraine, which began on Thursday morning in Paris, the Elysee Palace said.
This discussion took place after a meeting on Wednesday evening between Emmanuel Macron and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, the same source said.

The Paris summit brings together about thirty countries of the European Union and/or NATO, ready to provide security guarantees to Ukraine in the event of a peace agreement with Russia, but the United States does not participate in this.
