Law enforcement officers are investigating 306 cases of murders of Ukrainian servicemen who surrendered on the battlefield. These facts are being examined within 116 criminal proceedings.

The Office of the Attorney General reported that they possess information regarding 306 documented cases of the murder of Ukrainian servicemen who surrendered on the battlefield. This was announced during the United for Justice international conference by Yuriy Rud, Head of the Department for Combating Crimes Committed in Conditions of Armed Conflict of the Office of the Attorney General, reports UNN.
The servicemen were killed despite being protected under the Geneva Convention, as they had laid down their arms and offered no resistance.
"We are aware of 306 instances of the murder of Ukrainian servicemen on the battlefield who had surrendered,"
According to Rud, these facts are being investigated within the framework of 116 criminal proceedings.
