"The indictment against officials of the Kyivavtodor municipal corporation and the head of a private enterprise on the fact of embezzlement of budget funds during the repair of a road in Kyiv (Part 4 of Article 191 and Part 1 of Article 366 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine) has been sent to court," the statement reads.
The defendants are said to include the head of the capital construction department, the head of the bridges and overpasses department, and the head of the quality control department of the capital construction department of Kyivavtodor, as well as the contractor.
According to the investigation, in 2023, Kyivavtodor and the contractor entered into a contract for road repairs in Kyiv. Based on the acts of acceptance of the completed construction works and a certificate of their cost, the contractor received funds from the capital budget. However, the investigation found that the official documents contained inaccurate information about the scope of work.
The conclusions of the construction and technical and forensic economic examinations reportedly established a discrepancy in the scope of work performed in the amount of about UAH 300 thousand.
Currently, the indictment against the officials and the contractor has been sent to court for consideration on the merits.
