In Ternopil, a 15-year-old girl wounded a classmate with a knife in the entrance of a building. A fragment of the blade remained in the victim's head; investigators are currently examining bullying as a possible motive.

In Ternopil, a 15-year-old schoolgirl has been notified of suspicion of attempted murder of a classmate—a blade fragment remained in the victim's head, the Office of the Prosecutor General reported on Wednesday, UNN writes.

"A 15-year-old student has been notified of suspicion of attempted murder (Part 2 of Art. 15, Part 1 of Art. 115 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine)," the statement reads.
The suspicion was signed by the head of the regional prosecutor's office, Vitaliy Panchenko.
According to the investigation, on April 27, 2024, a ninth-grade student of one of the schools in Ternopil lay in wait for a classmate in the entrance of her building and inflicted several stab wounds. During one of the strikes, a fragment of the blade remained in the victim's head,
The girl has been hospitalized; currently, her life is not in danger. The attacker has been detained. The motives for the act are being established.
"Among the versions being checked by the investigation is possible bullying by the victim. If confirmed, these circumstances will be given a proper legal assessment," the prosecutor's office indicated.
A motion is currently being prepared to select a preventive measure for the suspect.
