The President of Ukraine held a meeting on cooperation with NATO and neighboring member states. They discussed the possibility of joint defense against attacks by Russian missiles and drones.

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy held a meeting with international experts on cooperation with NATO, in particular with neighbors in the region who are members of the Alliance. They discussed joint capabilities to protect against Russian missile and drone attacks. Zelenskyy said this in a video message and added that Ukraine is working on the implementation, UNN reports.

"I had a long meeting with internationals: The Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Ministry of Defense, the military, the GUR, the Office. We discussed our cooperation with NATO - with the Alliance in general and, in particular, with our neighbors in the region who are NATO members. Obviously, together we can add more security and stability to our region and to the whole of Europe," Zelenskyy said.

The President emphasized that we need to translate this obviousness into practical steps, into how we can add real security to each other in cooperation.

"Today we discussed our joint capabilities to protect against Russian missiles and drones - we are working on their implementation. I thank everyone who helps!" Zelensky said.

Addendum

The President instructed diplomats to work on the possibility of creating a coalition of neighboring states within the NATO-Ukraine Council to help shoot down Russian missiles over Ukraine's territory.

On July 15, Zelenskyy reportedthat the issue of Poland shooting down Russian missiles flying over the territory of Ukraine towards Poland is fair and is already being considered technically and legally.
