It's real spring outside: cherry blossoms and magnolias have started blooming in Kyiv

The season of flowering cherries and magnolias has begun in Kyiv. The very first trees blossomed in the Dnipro, Desnyanskyi and Obolonskyi districts, and the flowering period is about two weeks.

The flowering season of sakura and magnolias has begun in the capital of Ukraine: they can be seen in botanical gardens, as well as in parks and squares of Kyiv. This is reported by UNN with reference to the press service of the Kyiv City State Administration.

The first plants bloomed in the Dnipro, Desnyanskyi and Obolonskyi districts. Soon magnolias and sakura will bloom in other districts of the capital, the KMDA says.
Magnolia is a plant that contains more than 300 species of flowers. It is common in both Americas, as well as in East and Southeast Asia. Sakura belongs to the decorative trees of the cherry subgenus: the country of origin is Japan.
"The duration of the lush flowering of sakura and magnolias is about two weeks," the KMDA stressed. At the same time, Kyiv residents were warned about the need to take care of their own safety - in case of an alarm, they were urged to go to the nearest shelters.
