According to the publication, the Israeli army has canceled leave for soldiers in the West Bank and has begun deploying additional units to the region.
According to Yle, on the morning of July 25, an Israeli citizen was killed near the settlement of Havat Gilad and the Palestinian village of Tel. In the same incidents, four Palestinians were also killed.
The area where the events took place has been under Israeli control since 1967.
Yle notes that the level of violence in the West Bank has sharply increased since the start of the war in the Gaza Strip in the fall of 2023.
