Israel has developed a plan for the complete occupation of Gaza to finally destroy Hamas - media

The Israeli military has developed a plan to re-invade the Gaza Strip to destroy Hamas and establish control over the territory. The plan envisages the relocation of the population to a "humanitarian zone".
The Israeli Defense Forces have developed plans to recapture the Gaza Strip, seeking to finally defeat Hamas and pave the way for a long-term occupation of the besieged enclave. This was reported by UNN with reference to Financial Times.

According to the publication's sources, the proposal, which still needs to be approved by the Israeli security cabinet, was formulated by the new chief of staff of the Israel Defense Forces with the informal support of ultra-right ministers who have long demanded stricter tactics to combat militants. At the same time, these plans became possible thanks to the return of Donald Trump to the White House, which freed Israel from the persistent demands of the Biden administration not to occupy Gaza and not to annex territories.
The previous administration wanted us to stop the war. Trump wants us to win the war. It is in America's best interest to defeat Hamas as well
It is noted that, according to the plan, the Israel Defense Forces will use several combat units to re-invade and subdue Hamas, take control of large areas of the enclave, and move the territory's 2.2 million population to a small "humanitarian zone" along the Mediterranean coast.
One of the people familiar with the discussion said that Israel may take over the distribution of all humanitarian aid and recently estimated how many calories each Palestinian needs. Another said the military is considering options, including distributing aid directly or through private contractors, so that Hamas cannot benefit
The authors point out that plans for a new invasion of the Gaza Strip would be a change in how Israel has waged the war so far. Previously, the approach focused on high-intensity combat, after which its forces repeatedly raided various areas of the strip to eradicate the remnants of Hamas, and then left Gaza.
"Now Israeli political and military officials have made it clear that the goal is to hold the territory and destroy Hamas as a military and governing force in the strip once and for all. But defense analysts say it is unclear whether the IDF will be able to achieve these goals in a matter of months, given the depletion of available forces and the need to deploy, as they say, at least four divisions of combat soldiers," the publication summarizes.
Recall
On the evening of Monday, March 24, Yemeni Houthis and Hamas terrorists attacked Israel with missiles from Yemen and the Gaza Strip. Sirens sounded near Gaza and in other areas of Israel, and the missiles were intercepted.
