According to a source for the IRNA news agency, the current stage of negotiations between the parties is focused exclusively on ending hostilities in the region.
Earlier, a spokesperson for the Iranian Ministry of Foreign Affairs stated that Tehran would convey its position on the American proposals following the completion of internal consultations and final review.
Negotiations are taking place through the mediation of Pakistan
On April 8, Pakistan mediated negotiations between Iran and the United States, which resulted in a ceasefire agreement. It halted nearly 40 days of hostilities, which Tehran refers to as joint aggression by the US and Israel against the Islamic Republic.
Further negotiations in Islamabad took place a few days after the truce was reached, but the parties were unable to achieve a breakthrough.
