The incident occurred on the morning of December 3 in the village of Jaszczów, Łęczyński district. According to preliminary data, three railroad employees were clearing snow on the the tracks and did not notice the approaching train.

One of them reacted at the last moment and managed to jump away. The other died on the spot as a result of the collision, the third was thrown off the tracks by the impact, the man was hospitalized with injuries.
