In Odesa region, the evacuation of the train was carried out after an attack by the Russian Federation claimed the lives of two railway workers, Odesa Regional Military Administration Head Oleh Kiper reported on Wednesday, UNN writes.

The evacuation of the train attacked by the enemy has been completed. The train passengers were not injured

He said that this morning the enemy cynically attacked a passenger train in Odesa region carrying 340 passengers, including 67 children, as well as train crews. The locomotive was hit. The driver and his assistant were killed.

"Under the coordination of the Odesa Regional Military Administration and thanks to the joint work of all relevant services, the people were promptly evacuated from the site of the strike. They were subsequently taken by 12 buses to a safe location in the city of Odesa. Ambulances were stationed along the evacuation route to ensure the passengers’ safety," the regional administration head said.

The Prosecutor General’s Office showed the aftermath and reported that "as a result of the enemy shelling, two civilians were killed at the scene—a 50-year-old train driver and his 41-year-old assistant. The exact number of injured people is currently being established."
