In Kyiv, rescuers continue to eliminate the consequences of the pollution of Lake Kyrylivske - 25 cubic meters of fuel and lubricants have already been pumped from the surface of the reservoir. In addition, specialists record the death of fish, birds, frogs, insects and other animals that lived in the reservoir and on its banks, reports UNN with reference to the State Emergency Service.

To localize the pollution, four lines of permanent floating booms with a total length of 350 meters have already been installed on the reservoir, as well as 12 lines of sorbent booms with a length of 720 meters, which blocked the entire width of the lake and prevent oil products from spreading further.

In addition, nine skimmer systems are operating on site, with the help of which rescuers collect fuel and lubricants from the water surface.

"25 cubic meters of fuel and lubricants have already been pumped from the surface of the reservoir," the State Emergency Service reported.

Despite the work carried out, a persistent smell of fuel and lubricants still remains in the lake area. Under such conditions, rescuers continue daily work to eliminate the consequences of the Russian strike.

The State Emergency Service also emphasized that the pollution has already caused serious damage to the local ecosystem. According to specialists, they record the death of fish, birds, frogs, insects and other animals that lived in the reservoir and on its banks.

17 units of special equipment and 60 rescuers are involved in eliminating the consequences. Work at the site continues.
