In Cherkasy, a man threatened a teenager with a knife. The 21-year-old suspect is in custody and faces up to 15 years in prison for robbery in wartime.
In Cherkasy, a man threatened a teenager with a knife and demanded money and took a smartwatch. Law enforcement officers have identified the man suspected of robbery. He is currently in custody, UNN reports with citing the Main Department of the National Police in Cherkasy region.

The event took place on December 16 in Cherkasy. A local resident reported to the police that at about 18:00 on Heroiv Maidanu Street, an unknown man with a knife had attacked her 16-year-old son with a knife. He demanded money from the teenager, and when he heard that he had no money - he took his smartphone and fled.
After his identity was established, the 21-year-old resident of Cherkasy was detained.
At present, under the procedural supervision of the Prosecutor's Office, the man was served a notice of suspicion of of committing a crime under Part 4 of Art. 187 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.
For committing a robbery in wartime, the detainee faces enhanced liability - up to 15 years in prison with confiscation of property. In court the suspect was chosen a preventive measure in the form of detention with with the possibility of bail in the amount of UAH 260 thousand. The pre-trial investigation is ongoing.
