At the Sophie-Charlotte-Platz subway station in Berlin, a man attacked a stranger with a knife. The victim died at the scene from the wound, and the attacker was neutralized.

On Sunday, April 12, a tragedy occurred at the Sophie-Charlotte-Platz metro station in Berlin. A man argued with a stranger, after which he followed him to the platform and suddenly attacked him with a knife, UNN reports with reference to Welt.

It is noted that the victim died on the spot from the injury. Witnesses promptly described the appearance of the attacker, which allowed the police to quickly establish his location.
The suspect was found near the scene of the crime. While trying to detain him, he threatened police officers with a knife, after which one of the officers fired three shots.
The attacker received a bullet in the upper body. With serious injuries, he was taken to the hospital and urgently operated on. Nothing is known about his condition yet
The publication adds that the case is being investigated by the Berlin police homicide department. The motives of the conflict are currently unknown.
