Chief of the General Staff of the Israeli Defense Forces (IDF), Herzi Halevi, has approved a plan to continue hostilities in the southern Gaza Strip. This was reported by the IDF press service in the Telegram channel, UNN reports.

The last city in the southern Gaza Strip not cleared by the Israeli army is Rafah. According to the UN, it is home to more than 1.4 million Palestinian refugees. US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken said that the US would not support an operation in the city.
