IAEA to inspect laboratory near Zaporizhzhia NPP following report of attack

The IAEA will inspect a radiation monitoring laboratory near the ZNPP following a drone attack. Experts have already requested access to the facility to assess the damage.

The International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) was informed by the Russian forces controlling the Zaporizhzhia NPP that a drone strike was carried out today on the External Radiation Control Laboratory. The IAEA reported this on the X social network, according to UNN.

It is noted that the laboratory is located outside the plant's perimeter, and no information regarding casualties has been received.
The IAEA received information from the ZNPP that a drone struck the External Radiation Control Laboratory (ECRL) today
It is reported that the IAEA team stationed at the ZNPP has requested permission for access and inspection of the ECRL laboratory.
It is emphasized that IAEA Director General Rafael Grossi stressed that "any attacks near nuclear facilities can pose a threat to nuclear safety."
