US President Donald Trump stated that he believes Russian President Vladimir Putin wants to end the war. He also noted that significant progress has been made in recent weeks.
U.S. President Donald Trump said he believes that Russian President Vladimir Putin wants to end the war against Ukraine. He stated this during a conversation with journalists together with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky on the sidelines of the NATO summit, reports UNN.

At the same time, Trump noted that negotiations remain difficult due to the positions of both sides.
"This is a war that I thought might be the easiest to end. But Putin is not an easy character, and this guy is also not easy. It is not easy. At the same time, over the past few weeks we have made great progress, and we will see how things turn out," Trump said.
The U.S. President also expressed confidence that the sides are ready for an agreement.
"The President wants to end this war, and I believe President Putin also wants to end it. That should be a good combination," he stated.
