Hungarian prosecutors conducted searches at the offices of the "Fidesz" party where the servers are located. The party accused the new government of attempting to shut down its activities.
Hungary's opposition party "Fidesz" stated that on July 21, searches were conducted at its offices housing its internet servers, and accused the new government of attempting to shut down its operations. This was reported on the party's Facebook page, writes UNN.
Investigators from the prosecutor's office appeared unannounced at the data center where the servers of the Fidesz party are located, intending to seize the party's entire communication system and databases. Since 1990, since the fall of communism, there have been no such precedents in Hungary
The party of Hungary's former Prime Minister Viktor Orbán stated that "the authoritarian regime has reached a new level."
At the same time, the political force noted that "Fidesz will not succumb to either political or legal threats, will not retreat, and firmly opposes the violent authoritarianism" of the Tisza party.
