The decision of the DPRK to send troops to Russia to participate in the war is a hostile act that will affect the security situation not only in Europe. This is stated in a statement by the EU High Representative , UNN reports.

Details

It is noted that the European Intelligence Center (INTCEN) has confirmed the presence of troops of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK) on Russian territory to support the illegal war of the Russian Federation.

The DPRK provides weapons and ammunition to Russia to support its war of aggression against Ukraine. The presence of several thousand troops cooperating with the Russian military is a flagrant violation of the UN Charter and many UN Security Council resolutions. This is a unilateral hostile act of the DPRK with serious consequences for European and global peace and security

- EU officials said.

The president criticized the reaction of his partners to the soldiers from the DPRK: "it is not strong enough, so Putin is testing it"October 30 2024, 11:43 AM • 14909 views

The EU called on the DPRK to stop supporting Russia's military efforts.

The EU representative also warned that the DPRK's continued military support for Russia's war of aggression against Ukraine would be met with a corresponding response.

Currently the European Union is coordinating with international partners on this issue, including on the response.
