Greece has transferred more artillery to Ukraine than previously thought

Ukraine has received significantly more artillery systems from Greece than previously reported. As Defense Express writes, Greece's report to the UN Register of Conventional Arms for 2025 indicates the transfer to the Czech Republic of 66 M110A2 203mm self-propelled howitzers, 68 M114 155mm towed guns, and 56 M101 105mm howitzers. It is likely that this equipment was intended for further transfer to Ukraine, UNN reports.

Details

Earlier, it was reported that 60 M110A2 self-propelled guns might be supplied to Ukraine, but new data indicates the transfer of at least 66 such units. This is almost half of the entire M110A2 fleet that was in service with Greece. According to the publication, these artillery systems are already being used by the Ukrainian military at the front.

Dozens of towed guns were also transferred

The report also showed that Ukraine could have received significantly more M114 155mm guns than previously thought. While it was previously reported that about 70 units were transferred in 2022-2024, another 68 guns were transferred in 2025, bringing the total to 138 units.

In addition, information about the transfer of 56 M101 105mm howitzers appeared for the first time. Previously, the supply of these systems from Greece had not been reported. Defense Express notes that due to their short firing range, such guns are currently mostly used for training Ukrainian military personnel.
