Germany will provide Ukraine with 180,000 artillery shells as a contribution to the Czech plan to purchase 576 million euros worth of ammunition for Ukraine, the Defense Ministry has announced, UNN reports citing Reuters.

Reuters writes that this is in addition to the €478 million aid package announced by German Defense Minister Boris Pistorius last month.
"The total cost of both support measures is more than a billion euros," a ministry spokesman told the agency.
According to Reuters, more and more countries are joining the Czech initiative to supply Ukraine with hundreds of thousands of rounds of ammunition from outside Europe.
