Germany provides emergency winter assistance to Ukraine

Olaf Scholz announced the provision of emergency winter assistance to Ukraine to repair damage and restore heat supply. Germany will also transfer the IRIS-T, Patriot and Gepard systems in December.

Chancellor Olaf Scholz said that Germany has provided Ukraine with emergency winter assistance. He said this during a joint briefing with President Vladimir Zelensky, reports UNN.

"Germany has just provided Ukraine with emergency winter assistance so that the worst damage can be quickly repaired and heat supply restored," Scholz said.

Scholz reportedthat Germany will hand over the sixth IRIS-T System and launchers for Patriot and Gepard to Ukraine in December. In 2025, it will also supply air defense systems.
