Details
"The Security Service has collected new evidence of subversive activities by the leader of the banned pro-Kremlin 'Nashi' party – former People's Deputy of Ukraine Yevhen Murayev," the SBU reported.
According to the case files, the suspect continued to spread pro-Kremlin propaganda after the start of the full-scale war.
Based on the collected evidence, Security Service investigators notified Murayev of suspicion in absentia under Parts 1 and 3 of Article 436-2 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (justification, recognition as legitimate, denial of the armed aggression of the Russian Federation against Ukraine, glorification of its participants),
According to the SBU, while hiding abroad, the suspect gave an interview in which he called the Russian Federation's armed aggression against Ukraine an "internal civil conflict." As reported by the Prosecutor General's Office, the basis for the suspicion was an interview on a YouTube channel released in January 2025.
Also, "the former MP spread fakes about the internal situation in Ukraine, called on its citizens to lay down their arms before the Rashists, and justified the temporary seizure of part of our state's territory," the SBU indicated.
"In addition, prior to the ban of the 'Nash' TV channel controlled by Murayev, he extensively used the media resource to spread disinformation about the socio-political situation in Ukraine in favor of the Russian Federation," the statement reads.
The expert examination initiated by the Security Service reportedly "confirmed the facts of the suspect's information-subversive activities in the interests of the aggressor country."
Comprehensive measures are underway to bring him to justice.
The SBU indicated that the suspect is wanted on charges of high treason and inciting national enmity and hatred.
The perpetrator faces up to 15 years in prison with confiscation of property.
The investigation was conducted jointly with investigators of the Main Directorate of the SBU in the city of Kyiv and the Kyiv region under the procedural guidance of the Kyiv City Prosecutor's Office.
