Details
According to the investigation, men and women who have problems with alcohol and drugs, as well as their relatives, turned to one of the religious organizations in the Kyiv region. There they were recommended a rehabilitation center, where they promised to help get rid of addictions, change their lives and find a job in the future. In addition, clients who did not have housing, work and abused alcohol were searched for by the organizers of the center themselves. However, instead of treatment, "patients" were forced to work for free on construction sites.
It is noted that the "rehabilitation center" operated in Hostomel, Kyiv region. Residents were settled in a house with inadequate living conditions and turned into virtually forced laborers, because the organizers of the scheme received money for their work on the construction site. At the same time, people's documents were taken away, they could not use the phone, leave the house on their own or refuse to work. Women cooked and cleaned the house.
During the searches, there were 15 residents in the house. The work of people on construction sites has also been documented.
