Rosaviatsia has restricted flights of light aircraft and civilian drones at altitudes up to 5.2 km in the central regions of the Russian Federation. The ban will be in effect from June 20, 2026.

Rosaviatsia, at the request of the Russian Ministry of Defense, has banned flights of light and ultra-light aircraft, as well as civilian drones, at altitudes up to 5.2 kilometers in several regions of Central Russia, as well as over Moscow. This was reported by Rosaviatsia, according to UNN.

Upon the submission of the Ministry of Defense of Russia, the Main Center of the Unified Air Traffic Management System has established a temporary regime restricting flights in the altitude range from the ground to 5,200 meters for light and ultra-light aircraft and civilian unmanned aerial vehicles, with the exception of state and experimental aviation 

- the report states. 

The temporary regime restricts the use of airspace over Moscow, most of the Moscow region, and parts of the Ryazan, Tula, Kaluga, Tver, Yaroslavl, and Vladimir regions.

The temporary regime will be in effect from June 20, 2024, until further notice. The measures were taken to ensure flight safety. Regular and charter flights will continue to operate on routes to/from airports according to the schedule
