Farion's murder: the suspect's lawyer promises to appeal against the preventive measure

Vyacheslav Zinchenko's defense counsel will appeal the court's decision on the preventive measure. The lawyer asked for house arrest, arguing that there were no examinations to identify the suspect.

The lawyer of the suspect in the murder of Irina Farion , Vyacheslav Zinchenko, will appeal the court's decision on the preventive measure. Lawyer Igor Sulyma said this after the court hearing, according to "We-Ukraine", reports UNN.

Nevertheless, the lawyer would not say when the appeal would be filed. So, when asked "When?", Sulima waved it off and promised to inform about it separately.

During the hearing, the lawyer asked the court for a more lenient measure of restraint, namely, round-the-clock house arrest with the wearing of electronic protection.

He argued that "not a single examination has yet been conducted that would identify my client with the person seen by the whole country in the photographs".

Recall

On July 19, an unidentified person shot at Iryna Farion, a linguist and professor at Lviv Polytechnic. The woman was taken to the hospital with a head wound in an extremely serious condition. In the hospital Iryna Farion died.

Subsequently, on July 25, an 18-year-old manwas detained in Dnipro who was allegedly involved in the murder of the linguist. The next day, law enforcement officers served a notice of suspicion to 18-year-old Vyacheslav Zinchenko in the murder of Iryna Farion. 

The court also sent the boy to custody for 2 months without the possibility of bail.
