Dmytro Lubinets informed the ICRC and the UN about the execution of six captured Ukrainian soldiers in the Pokrovsk sector. Three soldiers were captured on October 23 and three more on November 1.

Ukrainian Parliamentary Commissioner for Human Rights Dmytro Lubinets reacted to the shooting of six captured Ukrainian Armed Forces soldiers in the Pokrovsk sector. Lubinets has already appealed to the International Committee of the Red Cross and the UN, UNN reports.

"The Donetsk regional prosecutor's office has launched an investigation into another war crime committed by Russians. It is the alleged shooting of six captured Ukrainian soldiers. Three Ukrainian defenders were allegedly captured by Russians during the offensive on the town of Selydove on October 23. The other three were captured in the same area on November 1. All the prisoners of war were unarmed," Lubinets said.

He noted that with such crimes, Russians once again demonstrate their insignificance and pettiness.

"Once again, as the Ombudsman of Ukraine, I reported these Russian crimes to the ICRC and the UN, because we are talking not about single, but about systematic violations of the Geneva Conventions. This must be recorded by international organizations. There will be responsibility for everything," Lubinets added.
