Exchange rates for May 26: the dollar has depreciated, while the euro has risen sharply

The National Bank has set the dollar rate at 44.24 UAH, while the euro rose to 51.53 UAH. In exchange offices, the dollar is bought at 44.02 UAH, and the euro is sold for 51.70 UAH.
The National Bank of Ukraine has set the official exchange rate of the hryvnia at 44.2447 UAH/USD for today, strengthening the national currency by 2 kopecks over the day, UNN reports, citing NBU data.
The NBU also set the official exchange rate of the euro against the hryvnia for May 26 at 51.5274 UAH/EUR, weakening the hryvnia by 20 kopecks over the day.
According to data from specialized websites as of Tuesday morning:
- In banks, the dollar is trading at an average rate of 43.92 UAH for buying and 44.44 UAH for selling; the euro is at 51.14 UAH and 51.81 UAH, respectively;
- In exchange offices, the dollar is trading at an average rate of 44.02 UAH for buying and 44.12 UAH for selling; the euro is at 51.54 UAH and 51.70 UAH, respectively.
