Exchange rates for May 1: NBU simultaneously weakens the dollar and the euro against the hryvnia

As of May 1, the official dollar exchange rate decreased to 43.96 hryvnia, and the euro to 51.46 hryvnia. On the interbank market, the American currency is trading within the range of 43.87-43.90 hryvnia per dollar.
As of Friday, May 1, the National Bank of Ukraine has set the official exchange rate at 43.96 hryvnia per dollar. The official rate on Thursday was 44.08 hryvnia per dollar. The official exchange rate of the hryvnia to the euro will be 51.46. This is reported by UNN with reference to NBU data.

The official dollar exchange rate is: 43.9630 UAH (-12 kopecks) per dollar. The NBU also set the official euro to hryvnia exchange rate at: 51.4587 UAH (-12 kopecks) per 1 euro. The official zloty exchange rate is: 12.0784 UAH (-5 kopecks) per 1 zloty.
According to data on specialized websites, as of 08:00 on Friday:
- in banks, the dollar is trading at a rate of 43.77-44.22 UAH, the euro at 51.17-51.80 UAH, and the zloty at 11.80-12.40 UAH;
- on the interbank market, rates are 43.87-43.90 UAH/USD and 51.31-51.34 UAH/EUR.

The National Bank of Ukraine downgraded its inflation forecast for the end of 2026 from 7.5% in the January forecast to 9.4%, and Ukraine's GDP forecast from 1.8% to 1.3%.
