Ex-director of Ukrzaliznytsia branch to stand trial for UAH 1.6 million in bonuses

The former head of a Ukrzaliznytsia branch will be tried for embezzling UAH 1.6 million in bonuses.
The case against the former director and first of the Ukrzaliznytsia branch, who is suspected of embezzling more than UAH 1.6 million during employee bonuses. UNN reports with reference to the Bureau of Economic Security of Ukraine.
Detectives of the Territorial Department of the BES in Kyiv sent to court criminal proceedings on embezzlement of more than UAH 1.6 million by an official of a branch of JSC Ukrzaliznytsia
The investigation established that the former director and first deputy director of the branch of JSC "Ukrzaliznytsia", in violation of the law, rewarded certain employees of the branch for performing work that they did not actually actually performed. This resulted in the misappropriation of public funds in a particularly large-scale misappropriation of public funds.
At present, the indictment for committing a criminal offense under Part 5 of Art. 191 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine against the former officials has been sent to court.
