EU calls on world's largest economies to take responsibility for global economic order

President of the European Council urged the G7 to take responsibility for the global economy. The EU is launching new tools for investment and supporting competition.

The European Union expects the world's leading economies to take greater responsibility for shaping a balanced international economic order. This was stated by the President of the European Council, António Costa, before the start of the G7 summit, reports UNN.
According to him, the EU welcomes the initiative of French President Emmanuel Macron to hold discussions on a balanced economic order involving all key international players.

He noted that the EU is strengthening its own competitiveness and investment opportunities by implementing the "one year – one market" program, as well as measures to simplify regulatory procedures for business.
Costa added that the European Competitiveness Fund should become one of the key tools for attracting investment and stimulating economic development.
