Electricity consumption in Ukraine remains at the level of Friday. Due to hostilities and other reasons, 492 settlements are without power, but no massive outages are expected.

Electricity consumption this morning is at the same level as on Friday. No blackouts are expected. Due to the fighting and other reasons, 492 settlements are without electricity. This was reported on Monday by NPC Ukrenergo and the Ministry of Energy, UNN reports.

Consumption

"Today, as of 9:30 a.m., consumption is at the same level as on the previous working day, Friday, August 2. No restrictive measures are expected to be applied," Ukrenergo said.

On Sunday, August 4, the daily maximum consumption was the lowest since the restrictions were lifted (since July 30) and 5.2% lower than on Saturday, August 3. The reason is cool weather and a traditional decrease in consumption on the second day off, the NPC said.

They also called for the use of powerful electrical appliances to be shifted to daytime hours, from 11:00 to 15:00, if possible. This is the period when the power system has the most electricity due to the active operation of solar power plants.
