Eight Russian militants sentenced to 15 years in prison for assaults in eastern Ukraine

Eight militants were sentenced to 15 years in prison for assaulting AFU positions in eastern Ukraine. Among the convicts are residents of Crimea, Donbas, and one prisoner from the Russian Federation.
Based on the evidence base of the military counterintelligence and investigators of the Security Service of Ukraine, eight more traitors who fought against the Defense Forces on the eastern front received 15 years in prison with confiscation of property. This is reported by UNN with reference to a report by the SBU.

It is noted that Ukrainian defenders took the perpetrators prisoner during continuous battles in the Kramatorsk, Pokrovsk, Siversk, and Lyman directions in 2025. As the investigation revealed, two of the convicts are residents of the temporarily occupied city of Rovenky in the Luhansk region, who joined the armed groups of the Southern Military District of the Russian Federation at the beginning of the full-scale war.
While in the ranks of the 7th separate motorized rifle brigade and the 6th brigade of the "DPR people's militia," the traitors initially unloaded ammunition and provisions, as well as built fortified areas for the Rashists near Lysychansk, Popasna, and Volodymyrivka. It is indicated that two more convicts from the temporarily seized part of the Donetsk region "mobilized" into the 57th Infantry Regiment and the 114th separate motorized rifle brigade of the 51st Combined Arms Army of the Russian Federation. At the end of 2025, the traitors were involved in "meat" assaults on AFU positions near Rusyn Yar, where they were captured by Ukrainian troops.
Three more occupiers from Crimea were detained in the Kramatorsk direction. In the ranks of the "Storm" unit of the 10th Tank Regiment, the 126th Coastal Defense Brigade, and the 6th Motorized Rifle Brigade of the Russian army, they participated in battles near Siversk, Oleksandro-Kalynove, and Kostiantynivka. Also among the convicts is a resident of the Dnipropetrovsk region who, while in prison in the Russian city of Tver, signed a contract with the "Storm" unit of the 37th Motorized Rifle Regiment of the aggressor country.
It was established that the perpetrator fought near Kudryashivka in the Luhansk region. Later, he unsuccessfully stormed the positions of the Defense Forces in the area of the highway near Zarichne in the Lyman direction. During one of the battles, he was taken prisoner,
The SBU clarified that the court found the perpetrators guilty under two articles of the Criminal Code of Ukraine: Parts 1, 2 of Art. 111 (high treason committed under martial law) and Part 7 of Art. 111-1 (collaborative activity).
