Journalists of the German publication Der Spiegel reported the discovery of confidential data of American officials responsible for national security in open access. This is reported by Der Spiegel, reports UNN.

According to the information, among the information found are mobile phone numbers, e-mail addresses and passwords, some of which are probably still in use.
Among the persons whose contacts were in the public domain are the White House National Security Advisor, the Director of National Intelligence and the Minister of Defense. In addition, journalists note that some of the information was related to accounts on social networks such as LinkedIn and Instagram, as well as in popular messengers WhatsApp and Signal.
Experts point out the significant risks that such a leak can cause. In particular, third parties or hostile intelligence services can use this data for cyberattacks, device hacking and access to confidential information.
