Denmark will allocate $28.6 million to purchase weapons for Ukraine directly from Ukrainian manufacturers.

Danish Defense Minister Trolls Lund Pulsen, Minister for Strategic Industries of Ukraine Oleksandr Kamyshyn and Deputy Defense Minister of Ukraine Dmytro Klimenkov signed a letter of intent to support Ukraine's defense production. This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, UNN reports.

The document sets out Denmark's intention to strengthen direct financial support for Ukraine's defense industry and declares its intention to establish a mechanism for such financial support.

This is an important stage of cooperation between our countries. Denmark has already allocated 17 packages of military aid to Ukraine worth more than €4 billion. It was one of the first countries to announce its intention to allocate money for the purchase of weapons for Ukraine directly from Ukrainian manufacturers. Denmark will allocate 200 million Danish kroner ($28.6 million - ed.) for this purpose
