A 20-year-old man in Lviv threatens to blow up his apartment if he does not receive 100 thousand hryvnias. He turned on the gas in the kitchen and threatens to set fire to the apartment and jump from the 5th floor if the police try to enter.

In Lviv, a 20-year-old man threatens to blow up an apartment if he does not receive 100 thousand hryvnias at 45 Chornovil Ave. This was reported by Lviv City Council deputy Ihor Zinkevich on Facebook, UNN reports.

"It is reported that on Chornovil Avenue a man is demanding 100 thousand hryvnias from relatives, and if they refuse, he threatens to blow up the apartment. To do this, he turned on the gas in the kitchen," said Zinkevych.

According to him, for safety reasons, the gas company turned off the gas in the house. All relevant services are working at the scene and negotiations are ongoing.

"He is currently threatening to set fire to the apartment and jump from the 5th floor if the police try to enter the apartment," the deputy summarized.
