Defense Forces struck in the direction of oil refinery in Yaroslavl, 700 kilometers from the Ukrainian border. Zelenskyy announced new long-range strikes in response to the shelling of cities.

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy reported that the Defense Forces struck targets in the direction of the Yaroslavl refinery and in the temporarily occupied territory overnight, UNN reports.
"We continue our defensive operations in designated areas of active engagement. Today, there was a report from the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Oleksandr Syrskyi, on the use of long-range drones against Russian oil refining and export positions. In particular, tonight the Defense Forces of Ukraine operated in the direction of the refinery in Yaroslavl – which is about 700 kilometers from our territory. We are bringing the war back home, to Russia, and this is entirely just,"
As the President noted, "there were also strikes against designated targets in the temporarily occupied territory of Ukraine."
"We are also preparing other manifestations of our long-range sanctions and 'middle strikes' in response to Russian strikes on our cities and communities," he emphasized.
