Czech President Petr Pavel posted a photo online with a gift he received for Christmas from Ukrainian soldiers from the 10th Brigade. The defenders of Ukraine gave the politician a "frontline" canned pork.
Ukraine has experienced its third Christmas in war. While many of us spent the Christmas holidays in prosperity, the soldiers of the 10th Ukrainian Brigade were in the trenches defending their country.
The Czech President noted that during this time, the volunteers of Memory of the Nation have heard dozens of stories from the heroic people of Donbas, who are determined to continue the fight until the Russian aggression is stopped.
The Czech president also said that the volunteers promised to convey greetings from Ukrainian soldiers. The label of the canned pork that was handed to him read: "Thank you for the help of the Czech Republic and its people.
Pavlo added a photo of himself tasting the gift.

Petr Pavel approved 60 out of 181 applications from Czech citizens to serve in the Ukrainian army. The permits were issued after approval by the relevant Czech ministries.
