The chief sergeant of the Shkval battalion reported on the high efficiency of ex-prisoners at the front. According to him, they fight bravely and destroy a large number of enemies, demonstrating strong motivation.
Former prisoners are working bravely and destroying the enemy in large numbers. This was reported by Chief Sergeant Oleksandr of the specialized battalion "Shkval" of the 47th Brigade, call sign "Whale", during a telethon, UNN reports.
When asked how the former prisoners who mobilized to his brigade are performing in the army, "Kit" replied: "These are very good guys, they are volunteers, first of all. Secondly, their motivation is very strong, they are brave. It's a pleasure to work with them, there are issues with their upbringing, but they come from institutions where there was discipline, so it's all about the right direction.
He also noted that former prisoners are working bravely.
"They shoot, they shoot a lot. They destroy the enemy in large numbers. One such fighter destroys 10 enemy fighters," said ‘Kit’.

On July 14, it was reported that the brigade's chief sergeant handed over armbands to the soldiers of the special battalion "Shkval" of the 47th separate mechanized brigade.
The battalion consists of citizens who served their sentences in prison and is formed of volunteers who have decided to defend the country.
On July 24, it was reported that seven female convicts signed a contract with the AFU in exchange for early release. In total, 6101 convicts expressed a desire to join the AFU, of whom 3823 have already left for training.
