Carpathians, Kyiv region, Lviv and Odesa - the most popular vacation destinations for Ukrainians during the war have been named

54% of Ukrainians choose the Carpathians for vacation, and 66% consider domestic travel appropriate during the war. The main obstacle to travel is the security situation.
The Carpathians remain the most popular destination for domestic tourism among Ukrainians during the full-scale war. Kyiv and the region, Lviv, and Odesa also entered the leaders. This is evidenced by the results of the first national study of the tourist behavior of Ukrainians, reports UNN with reference to the State Agency for Tourism Development of Ukraine.

According to the study, 54% of Ukrainians choose the Carpathians for recreation. In second place were Kyiv and Kyiv region – 51%, followed by Lviv – 50% and Odesa – 46%.
The study also showed that 66% of Ukrainians consider domestic travel appropriate even during the war. The same number of respondents reported having made at least one trip within Ukraine over the past year.
Most often, Ukrainians travel on weekends – 42% of trips last 2–3 days. Travelers mostly go on trips with their family – 56% of respondents answered this way.
The most popular mode of transport remains the railway – 55% of respondents use it. Almost the same number, 53%, travel by their own car
At the same time, Ukrainians named the security situation as the main obstacle to travel. 65% of respondents said that military actions remain the biggest barrier to recreation. At the same time, 45% of respondents consider travel and a change of scenery to be one of the most effective ways of psychological recovery.
The study was conducted by the sociological company Gradus commissioned by BRAND UKRAINE and the State Agency for Tourism Development of Ukraine within the framework of the national program "Journey to Yourself. Paths of Recovery".
