Kyiv • UNN
Polish farmers blocked bus traffic at the Medyka-Shehyni border crossing. Deputy Prime Minister for Reconstruction Oleksandr Kubrakov appeals to Polish Interior Minister Marcin Kierwinski to resolve the situation and prevent people from becoming "hostages of political confrontations"
Oleksandr Kubrakov, Vice Prime Minister for Reconstruction and Minister of Development of Communities, Territories and Infrastructure of Ukraine, appealed to Polish Interior Minister Marcin Kierwinski over the blocking of bus traffic at the Medyka-Shehyni checkpoint. He said that people cannot be held hostage to political confrontations in a civilized country. UNN reports this with reference to the Ministry of Reconstruction.
"Less than 10 days ago, the Polish police reported that passenger buses were crossing the border without any obstacles. What do we see today? Strikers are blocking traffic on the road in front of the Medyka border crossing point, which is adjacent to the Ukrainian Shehyni border crossing point.
Dear Minister, Mr. Marcin Kierwinski, why do you allow this? Should people be held hostage to the political confrontations of a civilized country?" said Kubrakov.
