An Order of Europe will appear in Ukraine - Zelenskyy submitted a bill to the Parliament

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy submitted to the Verkhovna Rada a bill on establishing a new state award - the Order of Europe. The award will be given for merits in European integration and strengthening security.

On the Constitution Day of Ukraine, June 28, a draft law from the President of Ukraine was submitted to the Verkhovna Rada proposing the establishment of a new state award - the Order of Europe. UNN reports.

According to the explanatory note of draft law No. 15359, this regulatory act proposes amendments to Article 7 of the Law of Ukraine "On State Awards of Ukraine", establishing the Order of Europe to honor individuals for:
- outstanding personal merits in supporting Ukraine's strategic
course towards gaining full membership in the European Union;
- significant contribution to assisting Ukraine in strengthening
its resilience in defending its independence and the security of all of Europe;
- strengthening international cooperation in the interests of
democracy, peace and good neighborliness, friendly and comprehensive relations between peoples.
The purpose of the draft Law is to establish the Order of Europe to honor citizens of Ukraine and foreigners for outstanding personal merits in supporting Ukraine's strategic course towards gaining full membership in the European Union, significant contribution to assisting Ukraine in strengthening its resilience in defending its independence and the security of all of Europe, strengthening international cooperation in the interests of democracy, peace and good neighborliness, friendly and comprehensive relations between peoples
Reminder
President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy announced the installation of a monument to Hetman Ivan Mazepa in Kyiv on Shevchenko Boulevard, where a monument to Lenin previously stood.
