A magnitude 6 earthquake occurred in the Afghan Hindu Kush region, with tremors felt in Kabul and Pakistan. There is no information about casualties or damage so far.

A powerful earthquake of magnitude 6 struck the Hindu Kush region of Afghanistan. Tremors were felt in Kabul and neighboring Pakistan, where people fled their homes in panic, reports UNN citing Reuters.

According to the European Mediterranean Seismological Centre (EMSC), the earthquake's epicenter was at a depth of about 100 km. In Pakistan's Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province, local residents reported that the tremors were strong and lasted quite a long time.
People were coming out of their homes, and women and children were seen crying in panic
So far, no official information about casualties or injuries has been received. Afghan authorities said that an assessment of the possible consequences of the earthquake is ongoing. Earlier the same day, a magnitude 5.4 earthquake was also recorded in Pakistan.
